About Me
Our mission is to design effective community solutions through action-oriented collaboration without boundaries, encouraging the emergence of social entrepreneurs and a sustainable local economy.

Through organizing neighborhood-based organizations in partnership with intelligent project-based collaboratives we are designing the kind of changes we want to see in our local economy.

Not only is Common Roots organizing the first ever LOCAL MALL in Reno, but in so doing will reach residents who have traditionally not engaged in supporting their local economy. We're taking Walmart shoppers and turning them into Smart Shoppers!

Common Roots is dynamic and fluid and will develop and grow through projects big and small. One of the most welcoming features about an organization like Common Roots: Community Design Collaborative is that if you have a vision, you have a mission and it is purposed towards creating a solution for our community then the Common Roots network will work with you to help make your idea a reality.

If a whole lot of people do a little bit of work - then we will get a lot done in the upcoming years. Common Rooots believes that it is critical to engage more and more people in the design of our community.
