I was wondering what to do with my 15 year old broken fax machine. I keep thinking someday I'll fix it....but then I saw that the Blind Center is collecting unwanted computer and electronic equipment for recycling on Saturday, January 17 from 9am to 1pm in the Wal-Mart Super Center parking lot in Henderson, behind In-N-Out. Greener Vegas, a nonprofit organization working to help local businesses go green, was featured in an article in In Business, Las Vegas, a Greenspun Media Group publication. The article is about their Paper for Schools Challenge, a paper drive to benefit area schools. Through Jan. 15, Greener Vegas will collect cases and reams of unused paper to donate to area educators. It was a night that ended too soon. Great food, great friends, and green! Michelle and Anne hosted a fun Green Drinks evening mixer Thursday night, Jan. 8, held at the G3reen Outlet at the Arts Factory in downtown Las Vegas' Arts District.
